Freshening up outdoors look without spending a fortune

In the fall season we wear just a couple of jackets/coats to keep us warm while we travel to work, to our after work activities and maybe we do a bit of traveling around the country. Most of us stick to wearing the same layers when we go outside as there is no actual need for numerous coats - we only wear them for relatively short space of time each day and they take up a lot of space to store in the wardrobe for the rest of the year.
My secret to keeping things fresh when it comes to outdoor looks is wearing scarves.

Here I am wearing my favourite Zara scarf. Not only does it keep me warm and cosy, it also pops a bit of colour and freshens up the look.

The light blue and colour motifs are classical Russian prints. If you are not familiar with these motifs you might have seen Valentino's collection a year or two ago which closely resembled the print. This is another great add of colour to go with my plain black coat.

You can add a creme or light beige scarf if you want a more elegant and gentle touch to finish off your look. This tone goes nicely with browns and blacks.

This H&M scarf is a real gem. It is lighter in material than the scarfs on the previous pictures but its texture, character and flowery look are great additions to any of my jackets when the wind is not as heavy and sharp.

As you can see from these pictures I am wearing black pieces however they all look different in the end thanks to my small collection of scarves.

If you are looking to shop for some new accessories H&M, Zara, Arnotts and Brown Thomas are great for new finds.
